Online Community

Our online community is based on Facebook.  Whilst we understand that Facebook is not everybody's cup of tea, we have found it to be a useful forum for our online family.  Our Facebook group is a closed group - only fellow members can see posts.  Our Facebook page is publicly viewable.

	This group has been set up for survivors and sufferers to communicate together. Search on Facebook for PMP Appendix Cancer Support Group. It is a closed group with over 800 members, all of whom either have PMP or are care givers.  The group offers much needed support and information from people who understand just what we are going though!  This group is not run by medical professionals but by patients and carers from all over the world.  It is a place to share stories, information and support.  If you would like to join, follow the link and request to be added to the group.

As survivors and carers, information is from our perspective - we are not health care professionals. We are all individuals, everyone is different. We recommend that you take advice from your doctors for specific information. Any medical questions arising as a direct result of reading posts should be directed to your PMP specialists as they are the experts. Members of our group and visitors to our page should exercise common sense and courtesy in submitting comments or materials for posting. Inappropriate Submissions may be removed by the administrators.  Inappropriate Submissions would include, for example, comments or materials that make false or defamatory statements about others, are obscene, vulgar, abusive, hateful or threatening; harass or discriminate on the basis of race, religion, nationality, ethnicity, gender, sexual preference or other factors or are invasive of the privacy rights of others (e.g., by including addresses, phone numbers or other personal information about third persons without their consent).
